The Truetone CS12 uses modern 1 SPOT switching power supply technology, not the old transformer-based design found in traditional power bricks. That means cleaner, quieter, more efficient power with far greater current capability. By scaling up the triple-filtered 1 SPOT design, Truetone was able to fully isolate every output, eliminate noise, offer multiple voltages, and make the CS12 usable worldwide.

A major advantage of this design is current headroom. While each output has a printed rating, most can safely supply more than the label suggests. Running a higher-draw pedal from a lower-rated output is generally fine, as long as the total current draw across all outputs stays within the CS12’s overall capacity. The result is a flexible, reliable power solution that handles modern digital pedals just as comfortably as vintage analogue gear — without hum, buzz, or drama.
