The Shadow SH RB-PRO is a powerful stereo pickup and preamp system developed in collaboration with renowned rockabilly bassist Didi Beck. While it was designed with rockabilly and slap bass firmly in mind, the RB-PRO is flexible enough to suit virtually any upright bass style — from roots and jazz to louder contemporary setups.

The system uses two dedicated pickups: a bridge pickup for solid low end and body, and a slap pickup mounted under the fingerboard to capture articulation and attack. Each pickup runs through its own channel on the onboard preamp, giving you precise control over tone, dynamics, and balance — even at high stage volumes.

Loaded with professional features including a phase switch, subsonic filtering, and an automatic chromatic tuner, the RB-PRO delivers clarity, punch, and excellent feedback control. It can be connected to either a mono or dual-channel amp, making it equally at home in simple rigs or more complex stage setups.
