Mozztronics | MOM-2 Mute-o-Matic Pro
Want to MUTE your microphone when it is not is use and don’t want to rely on the sound engineer hitting the MUTE button on the mixing desk?
Want to use your microphone to talk to the fold back engineer but don’t want the sound getting to front of house ?
The Mozztronics MOM-2 Mute-O-Matic PRO is the answer
The Mozztronics MOM-2 Mute-O-Matic PRO is powered from an external 9VDC power supply (not supplied).
Simply connect you microphone to the INPUT XLR socket, and connect the OUTPUT XLR socket to the front of house mixing desk. You can connect the AUX OUT XLR to the talkback monitor desk.
We also included a 20dB pad and an Earth Lift for both the Main and the Auxiliary outputs.
The MAIN OUT footswitch is a latching type, press once to activate the MUTE, and press it again to UN-MUTE.
When MUTE mode is active, the RED “mute” led will be on and no signal will be passed to the output and the mixing desk, when in normal mode, the GREEN “on” led will be on and signal is passed to the output and the mixing desk.
The AUX OUT footswitch is a momentary type, press and hold to route the microphone INPUT to the AUX OUT and MUTE the MAIN OUT at the same time, release it to return to normal operation. This is a “push to talk” function.
Even if the MAIN OUT is set to MUTE, you can still press the AUX OUT footswitch to route the microphone signal to the AUX OUT.
The AUX OUT is muted until the AUX OUT footswitch is pressed.
We also included internal switches to control if the PAD affects both outputs or just the main output, and also to control the main out so it can be muted or not muted when the AUX footswitch is pressed
Phantom power is passed from output to input even when the pad is active and the unit is in MUTE mode.
Mozztronics recommend the use of a regulated supply, with a voltage of 9VDC. We use the industry standard Boss style 2.1mm center negative 9V DC socket for the power supply connection.
